In this slice of their lives together, set in 1915 shortly after the breakout of the Great War, we meet the newly married couple on their first holiday since their wedding. George has brought Ruth to climb Scafell Pike, England’s tallest mountain.

Though smitten with his new wife, George is keen to head to war and Ruth begins to see George in his natural habitat.

Almost a decade later George will die on his third attempt to climb the world’s tallest mountain. Though she does not know this yet, here Ruth gets her first glimpse of the inner mentality of the man she has recently married. Call it ‘a thirst for adventure’, ‘a desire for fame’ or ‘a death wish’, it is this drive that will dictate the path of the rest of their lives together.

The production team include experienced producers, directors and crew, with numerous screenings and awards at national film festivals.
